Eureka Valley Addition

The owners of this Victorian home wanted to create access to their sunny backyard, and redesign the living space around it. Separate rooms were replaced with an open, airy structure that combines living, dining, and kitchen functions. Transom windows between this space’s exposed wood beams direct natural light into the home’s center. A new hallway links the front of the house to the now-accessible rear yard. The new bathroom, located between reconfigured bedrooms, is lit by a tile-lined skylight. Natural wood, window walls, and open spaces characterize the redesign of this home.
